石原江里子是以倫敦為活動據點的爵士女伶兼鋼琴演奏家，2004年與英國一流音樂家們共同打造的首張專輯《A Thousand Wind》式發行後，又在2005年推出融合大樂團演奏的第二張專輯《I Wished On The Moon》，相隔一年，再次發表新作《This Crazy Town》！
石原江里子生於東京，四歲開始習鋼琴，十多歲時已開始作曲及改編爵士樂樂曲。入讀日本國立音樂大學期間，常於東京表演爵士樂汲取經驗，及後再赴倫敦喬凱音樂學院深造爵士樂，畢業後決意在爵士樂壇發展，成為英國爵士樂人。 她經常與英國最傑出的爵士樂人合作，包括艾倫‧班斯、丹尼斯‧畢提斯、朱利安‧薛高、安妮達‧華道、史提夫‧布朗、麥‧威提斯、戈林‧岳斯利、唐‧蘭度等，並在英國著名的表演場地演出，包括漩渦爵士樂會、606爵士樂會、海德公園的薄餅俱樂部、皇家節日音樂廳等。 她在一九九九年成立自己的樂隊，出道至今共灌錄了四張大碟，包括A Thousand Winds、I Wish on the Moon、This Crazy Town，以及二○○七年初全新專輯Love Standards。她自彈自唱，鋼琴技巧卓越，嗓子溫柔嬌嫩，是當下備受注目的爵士樂鋼琴手及歌手，她的專輯亦早已成為港日樂迷必然之選。

The Blu-ray Disc Association press conference at this year’s show saw a predictably bullish appraisal of the current state of play for the format from all its major supporters in the industry - including two new members. ‘Aggressive’ seemed to be the keyword, as figures were announced showing growth in market share for Blu-ray hardware and software across the globe, even if figures remain relatively minute. Having sold 1.3m PlayStation3 units in Europe, there were some impressive sales figures when consoles were included – 96 percent of the HD sources sold were Blu-ray decks – but without the PS3 it was closer to 50 percent, with lower-price HD DVD players selling well. In the US Blu-ray has a 63 percent market share for standalone players, while over 66 percent of HD software sold was from the Blu-ray camp – a total of just over 2 million discs. The standalone player market has clearly been boosted by the Sony BDP-3000 that was released stateside. Over in Europe, HD disc sales were said to be 70/30 in Blu-ray’s favour, again attributed in part to the PS3.
The Blue-ray group had to say in its IFA press conference, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the format war was almost over. Well, when the HD DVD group took to the stage the very next day, it showed no signs of surrender. The feeling from the HD DVD gang is that price and availability are going to win this war, and to that end it’s announced that 400 HD DVDs will be available by the end of the year, and that new players will be coming out at half the price of the Blu-ray equivalents.
